Who Is Option 4?

Option 4, LLC was developed in the spring of 2008. The founder and all staff are currently working a 12 Step Program and practicing the Traditions. They are people with varying backgrounds and beliefs with years of living clean. They approach their program and people with empathy and understanding not sympathy and judgment.

At Option 4, they believe the disease of addiction can only end in one of four ways and there is no guaranty as to the order in which they will come:

• Option 1 - Incarceration – jails, institutions
• Option 2 - Dereliction – jobless, homeless, abandoned, lost
• Option 3 - Death – family, friend, stranger or self
• Option 4 - Find a new way to live!

Unfortunately, many of the staff had to experience the first three in order to find the fourth. Some have experienced all Four. They found that when their disease of addiction was arrested, the problem wasn’t the drugs. They had thought that if only they could stop using (behavior), everything would be fine. That was not the case. True recovery only came when they discovered a new way to live.
